Our Services
We undertake shipbuilding at both our Shipyards at Shalimar & Salkia. Both Shipyards are equipped with modular skids to undertake pre-fabricated block building. Convenient material handling facilities are also available.
Shipbuilding
We undertake shipbuilding at both our Shalimar and Salkia yards. Each facility is equipped with modular skids to support pre-fabricated block construction, along with efficient material handling systems to streamline operations.
Our welding capabilities include high-quality manual and semi-automatic MMAW, MIG, and TIG welding. To minimize lead times, we have developed in-house, state-of-the-art facilities such as:
Electrical shop
Machine shop
Carpentry shop
Paint shop
Additionally, we maintain a bonded warehouse to enable the smooth import of machinery, equipment, and raw materials.
Shalimar Yard
Features a dry dock spanning approximately 10,000 square metres, which can be converted into a functional wet basin post-launch to facilitate round-the-clock outfitting work.
Salkia Yard
Equipped with a highland shipbuilding berth and a slipway for vessel launching.
Our team of skilled and experienced mechanical fitters handles all fabrication and erection work. All construction is carried out under the supervision of national and international classification societies and state IWT authorities, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
Ship Repairing
We offer comprehensive ship repair services at both our Shalimar and Salkia yards. Each yard is strategically located along the Hooghly River, with Shalimar boasting a river frontage of 100 metres and Salkia providing 80 metres of accessible waterfront — enabling efficient berthing and repair operations for a wide range of vessels.
Our capabilities include:
Hull Repairs
Machinery Overhauls
Dry Docking Surveys
Onboard Repairs and Retrofits
We routinely conduct special surveys and emergency repairs for various inland marine crafts, including inland cargo and passenger vessels, ferries, and barges of up to 5000 DWT. These operations are carried out under the supervision of relevant classification societies and in compliance with both national and state-level Inland Water Transport (IWT) standards.
Our shipyards are fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure, skilled technicians, and logistics support to handle short-notice repairs as well as scheduled maintenance, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum vessel availability.
Riverine Infrastructure
As part of our strategic diversification programme, we have expanded our expertise into the design, fabrication, and erection of complete riverine infrastructure solutions. Our offerings are tailored to support the growing needs of inland water transport and waterfront connectivity across the country.
We specialize in delivering turnkey projects such as:
Floating Passenger Jetty Terminals
Floating Cargo Terminals
Modular Riverine Terminals
These solutions are engineered for flexibility, ease of deployment, and long-term performance, catering to both public and private sector initiatives.
Our scope of work includes:
Design and construction of mild steel or aluminium gangways
Fabrication of RCC walkways
Integration of full mooring and anchoring systems
Each project is executed with a focus on structural integrity, safety compliance, and operational efficiency, supported by our in-house design team, experienced fabricators, and dedicated marine engineers.
Through these capabilities, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the development of sustainable inland water transport infrastructure, enhancing last-mile connectivity and enabling seamless movement of people and cargo along rivers and coastal zones.
Hull Block Construction
We specialize in hull block building at both our Shalimar and Salkia shipyards, enabling modular and efficient ship construction processes that meet the demands of modern shipbuilding standards.
Both yards are equipped with:
Modular skids to support pre-fabricated block construction, allowing simultaneous production of multiple hull sections
Advanced material handling facilities that streamline logistics and improve overall workflow
In addition to structural fabrication, we also carry out pre-outfitting work during the block building stage, which includes:
Piping installations
Machinery seating and alignment
Foundation fittings
This integrated approach ensures significant time savings during final assembly and reduces the overall vessel construction timeline. Our commitment to precision and quality at every stage of the block-building process allows us to deliver structurally sound, outfitting-ready hull sections, enabling smooth progression to the next phase of construction.
Tug Charter Services
We operate a fleet of self-built single-screw and twin-screw tugs, all of which are registered with the Directorate of Inland Water Transport, West Bengal. These tugs are designed for reliable performance across a wide range of towing, pushing, and maneuvering operations in inland and near-coastal waters.
Our tug fleet is available on charter, supported by comprehensive manning services provided by qualified and experienced marine personnel. Whether for short-term deployment or long-term contractual support, our tugs are maintained to the highest standards and are ready for immediate service.
Typical applications include:
Vessel towing and assistance
Barge handling
Terminal operations
Support for dredging and construction projects
Each vessel is equipped with robust propulsion systems and essential onboard equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and dependable performance under varying operational conditions.
